i'm terrible at remembering to take pictures. right before cara and kali left i realized, "oh no! i haven't taken any pictures with my camera!" i had taken a few with my phone, but i never put those on the computer so we took a few right before they left. here those are.
but...changing the subject completely... the other night i was thinking about what a crazy year this has been for chris and i. i was thinking about all the things i have done this past year of my life - reminiscing, thinking about my goals, whether i'm moving toward them, and so on... so here's a trip down memory lane.
march: had an angel baby, our daughter eve.

april: chris graduates.
june: move to houston for chris' internship with chevron. also...chris' and my 2nd anniversary.
august: i take the GRE and prepare to apply for a masters in marriage and family therapy. we move back to provo. chris starts his masters degree at byu.
september: ran my first half marathon! also...found out chris had cancer. we start our long, lengthy, and expensive ordeal with sperm banking, surgery, and radiation.
october: lose my passion for MFT. after much soul-searching, i decide on interior design instead.
november: our first completely independent thanksgiving... without our families! we did it with derek and heidi, instead (see above pic of graduation day). and may i say? it turned out aMAZingly.
december: christmas with both families! and...aaron comes home! it was a full and happy month for us.
january: start my program at ldsbc. fall in love with design.

feb: chris turns 26. radiation is finished now and he's feeling back to normal.
march: i turn 24. am i becoming the person i want to be? am i living the life i want to live? well...life is a work in progress. some days i think i'm so far from where and who i want to be. but i think the answer to those is - slowly but surely...yes.
*wish matt could have made it, too, but alas, he had a scouting outing that prevented him from accompanying his wife and daughter up here. he was here in sprit, though.

Wow Sara, what a year. Happy Birthday, I'd say your're an incredible woman now and will only become better. By the way, I love your interior design posts. Wabi Sabi is the perfect description of Germany's beauty. Lots and lots of imperfection, but undeniably beautiful.
Glad you had a good birthday. It has been quite an eventful year for you guys! I used to want to be an interior designer...I decided I wasn't creative enough. :)
What a year! Hope you are all doing better. Love the pictures of cara's little girl!
