the job hunt

yesterday i awoke to my phone ringing. perhaps you don't know this about me, but i am not always the most pleasent person to greet in the mornings. in fact, sometimes i can be downright grumpy. well i decided to answer my phone. it was some woman calling about a job. "ok," i thought, "great. let's schedule an interview so i can get back to sleep." however, she had something different in mind. she wanted to do an pre-interview right then. yes, i had time. so we began.

first question: "what are you looking for in a career?"
my answer: "right now i just need a job to pay the bills."

just need a job?! what was i thinking?! well, needless to say i'm pretty sure they're not going to call me back. i had seriously biffed that one. but i've prepared an answer should i ever be asked that question again. which i may, because i have a sweet interview tomorrow. wish me luck!!
