new year's with the thomas family

after our holiday with the savages, we got to have Christmas/New Year's holiday with the thomas family, too! double whammy! i loved it!

we had a great new year's party at my aunt gaylene's house in farmington, where we saw aunts, uncles, and cousins. i don't know why i didn't take any pics there. the next day we wanted to do something fun, so we found out about a remote-control air show that was going on in salt lake and decided to meet up there on new year's day! it was a pretty amazing show - i know chris and my dad particularly loved it - they're really into that sort of thing. here are some pics from that day:
rebekah thought this plane was the coolest. it was bigger than her!

cara, matt, and kali met up with us there, too. of course, we all fawned over how big kali is and how much she's grown and how cute she is. here's kali with her grandpa.

kali with grandma. i think she'd just woken up and so wasn't her typical, gregarious self.
kali with me.

kali and cara, practicing walking. i can't believe that kali is up and walking now! she walks by herself about 50% of the time now!

that night, new year's day evening, my brother aaron came home from his 2 year mission in montreal, quebec, canada. this was the reason we were all together this season.

here are our excited faces before we saw him.

and here are chris and sam's excited faces. :)
and now to give you a small idea of the happiness that ensued, i'm just going to post these pictures and let them do the talking.
happy new year to us.
