open mic night

chris and i have been talking about having an open mic night since like, october. but last saturday we finally did it!

it was so fun to get together with some friends to hang out and make music together. we had a really diverse showing. our friend rachel started off the show and yeah, she's pretty much a professional. awesome way to start the night.

then jana and mark did a guitar/piano duet that was really quirky and fun. chris and i played a few fun little sing-along songs and my younger brother sang "white christmas" almost better than bing crosby.

we ended the night by just sitting around, jamming out with all the instruments in our house (vocals, guitar, bass, keys) and playing christmas songs, old 90s songs, and anything else we could think of. i tell you what...there's not much that makes me happier than making music with people i love. thanks to everyone who came, whether you performed or not! we'll do another one for sure some time very soon!
