ok so this post is a little overdue but i've been busy... so sue me. for those who are just dying to know about my pregnancy (anyone? or maybe this is just for me.) i'm now 15 weeks pregnant!
according to babycenter, "baby is the size of an apple and weighs about 2.5 ounces." i keep telling myself that either i have twins, i'm growing a hulk baby, or i've gained 7 pounds in boob, because 2.5 ounces can't possibly cover the whole baby portion of this weight gain! but i'm not worrying about it . i'm just trying to be healthy and not fret about the numbers on the scale or the fact that the number of still-wearable pairs of pants is shrinking (UNLIKE everything on my body!).
i think i may have felt a few little baby flutters already, which is cool. they're still so faint it's hard to tell if that's what they actually are. despite this, i'm having a hard time bonding with this baby. don't get me wrong...i am incredibly excited, but i still just have a hard time imagining that we'll actually get a real, live baby out of this. i hope this will change soon.
time has flown by already and i hope it continues to go by quickly. yes, i'm an impatient type. i'm already looking forward to april when school will be over, 3rd trimester will be nearly finished, and we can start nesting!
ps- only 3 weeks and 2 days until we find out the sex of our baby! not that i'm counting or anything...

p.s. clay and i were going to come to your open mic night, but a friend asked us to watch her little baby so she could go to her husband's christmas party so we did that. count us in for next time!
yes, it's all very exciting! as for a "due date," i try not to worry too much about that because, really, the baby will come when it's ready. but... it could probably be some time around june 6.

if it makes you feel better: you increase blood volume and other fluids in your body, which start increasing early in pregnancy, which is probably contributing to the weight gain. Med school has useful facts lol. Congratulations!
