"will you two ever leave utah?" seems to be the question pressing on everyone's mind recently. the answer is yes! definately yes! but not any time soon...
chris and i have decided to stay at byu for his master's program. yes, yes, i know...there are a million reasons to go somewhere else, not the least of which is the fact that i've now been living here for the past 5 years. but there are many reasons to stay, as well, which i won't go into here. instead, i'll list the fun things chris and i plan to do within the next 2 years to make our short sojourn in provo more enjoyable (funny...most of them involve leaving provo). 1- trip to europe with derek and heidi. next summer we'll spend a few weeks in eastern europe, mainly the czech republic and slovakia because that's where chris and derek lived for 2 years. this may sound extravagant but it's not. it's something we've been saving for since before we got married. we're saving our pennies. i can't wait!

2- chris' trip to africa. chris' geoloy field research will be conducted in namibia, africa. so he gets to go there and explore the beautiful deserts and geological features of africa! this will probably be in october. too bad i don't get to go. jealous! :(

3-trip to new zealand. again, a sweet geology perk. the geology grad school does awesome trips for real cheap every 2 years. this year's trip is to new zealand. and one of the stipulations for chris' accepting byu was that i get to go on this trip. sweet....
4-replace chris' mountain bike. yeah, it was kifed last thanksgiving so chris and i haven't been biking since. but this summer we're going to try to get a replacement so we can enjoy the mountains together.5-find a new place to live. we're looking for a cute, homey place for a moderate price in orem, provo, or maybe pleasant grove or springville. anyone got any ideas?

I'm sad you guys are leaving Monaco but glad you're sticking around, although who knows what we'll be doing come December. Also, I'm extremely jealous you guys are going to New Zealand. I lived there for 4 months on a study abroad and have been itching to go back ever since. Start practicing saying "Eh" and "Sweet as!" If you need a cheap place to stay if you're in Auckland, let me know, I have "family" there.

I'm not sure what your budget is but I thought I might recommend the condos we live in to you guys. They are in Orem, they have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. They have some that are in a couple of the building that are for rent by the owner of the complex and some that were bought and are rented out by the owner of that condo. The condos are nice and roomy but also cozy. They come with all appliances. If you are interested or just curious to check it out the name of the complex is Newport Village.
