graduation festivities

this week chris walked for graduation!! it was a great feeling of excitement and relief for both of us! here he is with derek - friend since freshman year. they helped each other fail freshman year, then served in the same mission, came back to byu and repented by retaking calculus together, and then graduated together. chris and i, derek and heidi after commencement. i was pretty excited for him. friday was convocation. here's chris processing in. and receiving his fake diploma (he won't get his real one until after field camp). after convocation there was a luncheon in the science center. here chris is in front of his "second home," the science center. can you tell he's holding his graduation septer and feeling enlightened?we met up with grandpa, beth, cara, matt, and kali for the luncheon. since matt and chris didn't want to take any formal pictures i just took pictures while we walked. i also tossed confetti on everyone as we were walking about. pretty hilarious......until it got turned on me.

and since chris and matt had never hiked the Y, cara and i decided their graduation day wouldn't be complete without a nice little hike up that mountain. it was a great day (not too hot or cold) and an enjoyable hike. here chris and i are at the top.hooray for graduation day!!
