"what have chris and sarah been up to these past few months?" you may have wondered lately. well...a lot. here are some pictures. if you want more in-depth stories i'd be happy to share them, but there's too much for just one post. i just wanted to get these up so you could see what we've been doing lately.

1-chris finished his field camp!! it was his last undergraduate class so now he is completely finished! here are some of his battle wounds:
they don't look so bad in these pictures but they were pretty grodey. he also got a fabulous farmer's tan but for fear of embarassment i won't post that picture. ;)

2-we moved out of monaco court!! a huge thanks to chris, sam, derek, brandon, and anyone else who helped clean and move. it took longer than we thought it would but we finally got it all done.

3-chris and my brother sam roadtripped from provo to houston with our summertime belongings. they had a great few days of unsupervised man-time. of course, they stopped to look at rocks:

i'm sure chris has more stories to go along with the pictures, but i don't know all of them. but i bet if you asked him, he'd be happy to share them with you.

4- our two year anniversary was june 21st!! chris and i had a wonderful time. we stayed at a place called moshiem mansion and it was gorgeous! (yes, i brazenly stole the picture from their website but mine just didn't turn out as nice.) it's a charming old 19th century home converted into a b&b. would i recommend it? 100%. and will we go back? yes, we probably will.

so for our anniversary we went to schlitterbahn and it was a blast. we had such a good time chilling out in the sun, floating the lazy river, and standing in line for rides. haha, seriously, it was a good time. the lines were just too long.

after schlitterbahn we went to san antonion to see my sista heather! we met up and got some tex-mex on the riverwalk.

and after dinner we walked to the alamo for my first visit ever! it was late so the alamo was closed, but it was still a neat experience. i'd like to go back again some time during the day and get the whole walk-through. here chris and i are in front of the alamo:
5-on fourth of july weekend we took a day-trip to galveston to see the sights and play at the beach. i love galveston for it historicity. galveston as we know it has been around since the early 1800s and they still have beautiful old buildings all over the place. check this one out. i love the rich colors and intricate woodwork!
of course, we stopped at the old cemetary. it was just calling our names! there are some really impressive mausoleums and old, run down grave markers. the oldest one i found was for a man born in 1788. whoa... that's old.for the 4th we were in kingwood. in the morning we went to the parade. chris wants me to share the hilarious parade story so here it is: we were chilling on the grass by the sidewalk and there were all sorts of people and their dogs sitting around waiting for the parade to start. then all of a sudden, water starts running down the sidewalk and there's a huge commotion behind us. so we turn around and there's a little boy with his pants down! apparently he had to go and wasn't in the mood to look for a toilet! his mother was pretty embarassed but everyone else just thought it was too funny. anyway, that night we went to town center to hear some music and see some fireworks. and here's our only 4th of july pic:
after the professional firework show we went to where the amateurs blow their fireworks off and that was even more fun! yeah, we got blown up a little bit. but some of the fireworks were really impressive and overall it was a very enjoyable evening.
so yeah, that's about it. now you know what we've been up to. what have YOU been up to?
